Information about the different materials

  • Zerodur

Pyrex glass code 7740 has a Coefficient of Expansion of  32.5 x 10-7cm/°C

We use Precision Annealed Pyrex.

Pyrex is a borosilicate composition that is used to provide unique chemical, thermal, mechanical and optical properties. These properties enable it to provide long service and fulfill requirements which common window glass cannot meet.

The low coefficient of thermal expansion of Pyrex code 7740 glass allows it to withstand higher temperatures and temperature extremes than ordinary window glass.
